A new original musical inspired by the myths of Greek Mythology.

The immortal titan Prometheus has stolen the sacred flame of the gods and placed it in the tiny hands of his stripling race of man. When Zeus and the heavens ignite with vengeance and vow the demise of Prometheus and his children, the stage is set for a mythical tale of epic proportions. With music ranging from intimate ballads to rollicking big-band swing, from swanky jazz to rousing anthems, from angelic children’s choruses to enormous ensemble arrangements, PROMETHEUS is an all-libretto musical on the grand scale of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA OR LES MISERABLE.

About the Creators

Prometheus is a musical with book and lyrics by David Bates and music by Michael Allen Harrison, premiered at The Lakewood Theater in 2009. An epic tale of gods, monsters, and men set across the cosmos, the show reimagines the Greek myth of Prometheus, the titan who defied Zeus to gift humankind with fire. La Salle Catholic College Preparatory in Oregon later became the first high school in the country to produce the musical.
