About The Author

Michael Allen Harrison is a Portland-based composer, pianist, and storyteller whose music has touched audiences around the world for decades. He's the founder of Play It Forward, a nonprofit that delivered 12,600 music lessons at low or no cost to Portland kids in 2025, and The Snowman and the Red Thread is his first children's book a magical realism story he brought to life with a full original musical audiobook and, through a collaboration with 14-year-old Chinese student Charriess Pun, a cross-cultural Chinese-language edition as well.
